Piedra de Tizoc: This photo was taken in May 2017 at The National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City. It depicts the The Piedra de Tizoc, part of the museum's permanent Mexican archeological collection. It was created by Aztec sculptors in Tenochtitlan, modern day Mexico City, and dated to the 15th century (1400's) before Columbus's arrival in North America. More information of The Piedra de Tizoc can be found at Arqueologia Mexicana.

Notre-Dame Basilica: This photo was taken in September 2018 and displays the sanctuary of the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, Quebec. The Basilica was built between 1824 and 1829, but the grandiose interior of the chapel took an additional 7 years. Ironically, the architect of this Roman Catholic Basilica, Jame's O'Donnell was himself an Anglican Protestant from the United States. Near the end of his life O'Donnell converted to Catholicism and was buried in the crypt of the Basilica upon his death. Lurie Garden: This photo of Millennium Park in Chicago was taken in June 2014. It shows the Lurie Garden, a four-season botanical garden on the southern most edge of Millennium Park. While the garden is free for anyone to visit, it's surrounded on three sides by tall hedges, and raised from street-level on it's southern border, Monroe Street, accessible only by ramp or staircase. Those barriers keep the garden hidden from most passers-by and make Lurie garden a strangely quiet place for it's location in the middle of America's third largest city. Check out Luriegarden.org for details about the design an inspiration of this urban oasis.

Some Sort of Bubble Cafe: I found this this odd, futuristic, and slightly dystopian scene at the Fidelity Plaza on my way home from work. These personal food domes were just north of the Chicago River. After doing some quick Googling, I came to find that rather than a terrifying glimpse into humanity's future, the inspiration for this "bubble cafe" is actually kind of fun and neat. These temporary domes, set-up in the fall and winter of 2022 through May of 2023, were part of a city-wide effort to provide a comfortable way to enjoy the outdoor architecture of Chicago and still stay warm during winter. The domes were set up by Dinner With a View, a pop-up dining experience meant to make the best out of the cold part of the year.

Street Music in Mexico City: I snapped this image of a string duet on the evening of May, 6th 2018 on Calle 16 De Septiemre just southwest of the city's iconic Zocalo and the National Palace. One of the most memorable traits of "CDMX" is the street music, not only the skill of the musicians playing, but the diversity of instruments and musical styles.

North Canton, Ohio: A retired F-14 "Tomcat" on display at the MAPS Air Museum near the Akron-Canton Airport. This plane was notable during it's time for it's moving wing design, where it's wings could widen themselves for more lift and breaking, and slope backward for faster speeds. It's also the famed plane from the 1986 film "Top Gun."
